Spring is here! The days are longer than the nights. The freezing temperatures only remain in our memories. The irritations of winter are now a thing of the past. Yet, before we know it, it will be summer and there will be high temperatures with uncomfortable humidity. In a word: there will be new annoyances to deal with. Those who do not have enough food to eat, however, are faced with something they must struggle against regardless of the season. Because of this, the Universities Fighting World Hunger team and the Modern Philology Department at the University of Miskolc, together with the Red Cross Chapter of B-A-Z County are again organizing a spring food drive to assist the hungry. On April 7-9 designated places at the Uni will be collecting long-lasting foodstuffs which the Red Cross will distribute to the needy in our area. You don’t have to go all the way out to the University if you want to be a part of this. On those days, just bring your donations to the Tesco Hypermarket at the foot of Avas from 16-18.30.
